Okay, so I haven't felt this old in a long time. I went to the dentist today expecting my usual appointment: cleaning, telling me I'm doing a good job and then out the door with another appointment in 6 months from now.
When I was younger, I had several cavities -- I think dental health is genetic and I'm in for a lot of dental work if that's the case! But, I haven't had anything wrong with my teeth for YEARS!
Now, at the end of the appointment today, I was put in my place and reminded that I'm getting older and so are my teeth.
I learned that I have to have a root canal -- YES -- a ROOT CANAL! Am I even old enough to have root canal? I thought that those were only for people over the age of like 50 or something? You're kidding me right, I said to my dentist and then I started laughing. I laugh when I'm upset or just stressed -- it really helps ease the tension. I laughed because I figured I'm way too young for this........but, alas, I am wrong!
So, I will call back this week and schedule a lovely root canal and then maybe I'll qualify for AARP benefits too!
