So, my husband has decided to feed the stray cats that roam outside our back door. He's been feeding them all winter, against my wishes. I don't mind feeding the stray cats, but I grew up in the country....I know what comes along with stray cats:

We are currently feeding 3 stray cats, an
opossum and a raccoon...

The
opossum and the raccoon aren't afraid of the cats and the cats aren't afraid of the 'wild' life either. The sad this is that the
opossum and the raccoon aren't afraid of humans either!
So, if you're missing the wild life at your house....it's a good bet they've showed up at our house due to the rumor that we have good food to spare to all of God's creatures!

when I was growing up the only thing we'd feed an opossum that came around was buck shot.
I'm sure when Dad is back from the great AZ he can come up and live trap them for you. In fact I've got a couple of live traps now too I can bring them with me next time we're up. At Dad's they all seem to die of lead poisoning.

Can I send a 5 month Golden Retriever to your house??? :o)
YES -- please bring live traps with you and take them back home with you!
Jill -- you can bring the dog to our house, but we don't let any creatures other than our own cat into the house!!
