Art Fair and a 2 year old?

So Aaron and I tried to go to an art fair this past Memorial Day weekend. Aaron and I like art and we like to look for interesting pieces, or at least we used to like to do this before we had Payton! We thought we would give it a try -- well, Payton had other ideas! She really liked the pottery, but didn't really understand why she couldn't touch it! She didn't understand why she needed to stay in her stroller and not walk around looking (with her fingers) at all the pretty, shiny things. Aaron was getting so frustrated, "why doesn't she understand that she just needs to behave?". I just laughed -- I too was frustrated, but I just had to laugh because that's what I do when I realize that we can't control a toddler in a 'china shop', so to say.

We found a shady spot to let Payton run around while we ate some lunch, we tried to get her to run off some of that energy! (it didn't work)

There was a nice pond there with a swan and some geese, of course Payton found a rock and wanted to throw this large rock at the geese!

Okay Daddy, let's call it a day and head for home -- next time, we're getting a BABYSITTER!
