it's the little things that make you smile...

Payton was running a fever on Thursday night and most of the day on Friday. She slept for over 4 hours during her nap at the babysitter's house and then went to bed at her normal time on Friday night. Today, she woke up with a smile on her face and ready to greet the day! She was feeling much better, no fever. As the day progressed, she started to get a bit more crabby -- after nap she cried for 1/2 hour -- mommy and daddy had no idea what the problem was -- she was so upset she couldn't even tell us! We put her to bed at 7:30PM without fussing, but now it's 10PM and she's STILL up there talking! I can hear her through the baby monitor singing: "little Einsteins, blastoff!", "thank you Jesus for my mommy", "it's okay", "foot book" and lots more angelic thoughts. Part of me wants to be upset and go up there and tell her it's time to go to sleep, but the other part of me really likes listening to her voice and the sweet nothings I hear her mumbling. It's the little things in life that make you smile...
