I don't usually like to get involved in politics, everyone is entitled to their opinion -- even if my opinion is different. But, politics according to my daughter...that's a different story!
Whenever she sees the 44th President of The United States of America, she shouts, "There's Barack Obama!!" (they watched the inauguration on TV at the sitter's house...so, she knows ALL about politics now!)
At dinner the other night I asked her if she knew what Barack Obama does for a living. She asked, "Does Barack (they're on a first name basis, I guess) make the sky?"
I said, "No."
Daddy said, "some people think he does."
I said, "God made the sky."
I said, "Barack makes the rules for The United States of America."
The preschooler said, "No, mommy, God makes the rules."
So, there you have it folks....when you question the 'rules' and what you should and shouldn't be doing as an American -- remember that God makes the rules and you know where to find the answers, right?

I was listening to "A Prairie Home Companion" today, and Garrison Keillor called the President "Barack" (first name only) and said that 50% of Americans feel they have a close, personal relationship with him. Apparently your daughter is in the 50%!
And "hear, hear" on who makes the rules and where to find the answers...
