We started Friday night by taking off the front to the toddler's crib -- we have one of those convertible cribs that changes into a daybed and then eventually a headboard/footboard for a full sized bed. We were a bit hesitant -- since birth, the now toddler has been a GREAT sleeper, both at naps and at nap time. I was scared to transition her to a 'big girl' bed, for fear that my good sleeper would be no longer. We prepped her, "now, you can't get out of your bed until mommy or daddy are in the room". The first night -- success! The first nap (a bit more scary on my part -- for fear she wouldn't sleep at all) -- success! Every evening and nap time since: SUCCESS!!! She's so proud of her 'big girl' bed -- she's been telling everyone all weekend and our neighbors this morning....

She even had a visitor - our cat has been jumping up in bed with her every evening and every nap time -- she LOVES it!
Then, we broke out the 'big girl' bike with training wheels and gave it a go! She's not that great at pedaling, but she sure does likes it when someone pushes her!
Daddy, we're going to have to work a bit more on this bike riding thing this summer...

Another step toward those dreaded teenage years!!! (I'm just kidding)
Aww, what a big girl she's getting to be! Congrats on the 'big girl' bed and the bike! :)
In two months ~ mine will finally be out of cribs (AND have their own rooms). I am ready!
