A Wedding Party

This weekend was our first wedding to go to as a family of 3, except for the wedding of one of my college friends -- our little toddler was just a wee little baby at the time, still breastfeeding -- we just went to the wedding and not the reception.

Anyway, my husband's cousin got married this weekend and what fun!

Here's the toddler eyeing the cake...

Yes, my toddler stuck her fingers in the wedding cake!!! I couldn't believe my eyes! I was watching her the entire time and then bam -- she snuck a lick! Here she is far, far away from the cake -- after getting reprimanded - she's still licking the frosting.

She ate 1/2 of her cake and then went to the dance floor to dance a number or two and I guess the waiter took her cake away. My mother-in-law offered the toddler the rest of her cake, since the toddler was obviously upset that her cake was taken away. Unfortunately for my mother-in-law, the toddler kept telling people, "Mae mae (my mother-in-law) ate all my cake!" (in between sobs)

So, her Papa shared his with her -- he really didn't have a choice in the matter :)

A dance with daddy....oh my, how she's growing up so fast!
