Family Time

I LOVE family time -- anytime we can do something as a family, I run with it and make the most of the time together. This past week, the toddler daughter got a late birthday gift from a friend -- a stone mosaic.

Mixing, mixing mixing the cement. The toddler said, "I will hold onto you daddy, so you don't blow away".

More mixing...

Then, comes the fun part -- placing the glass chips into the cement and making a fun pattern. The directions said to lay out your pattern before placing in the cement..yeah right! What fun is planning -- it's the spontaneous moments that are the best, right?

We even got a hand print in there! I then carved in "2008" under the thumb-area and it has been setting to dry ever since. We can't wait to 'plant' the stone in the garden -- somewhere where I can see it and remember the day we spent the afternoon together.
